USM Activities

It is great to be involved on campus. It not only allows you to establish new relationships with people you may have never come in contact with otherwise but it also serves as a "ice breaker". This year is a great year to be involved because it is the schools centiennial celebration year. Many activities will be taking place this year campus wide. In being apart of the student government I have the opportunity to take advantage of these events. The goal is to make each year after this one as great and even better than this one has been to this point.

I learned that the activities council on campus would like to have at least five hundred of of campus student to volunteer for community projects. These projects will range from house repairs to those in need to building new homes all together. There will be community clean up days also. The projects will not only hopefully make Hattiesburg a better place to live and pleasing to the eye but also provide many service hours opportunities for students. http://www.usm.edu/bigevent/
